2017 REPRODUCTION SEMINAR
The club tries to put on some type of educational seminar each year. In September 2017, the club hosted a reproduction seminar at the Finger Lakes Casino. The main speaker was Dr. Bosley from the Hilton Vet. Dr. Bosley has been involved in reproduction specialties for many, many years. He offers progestrogen testing, seman collection and freezing, artifical insemination using fresh, fresh chilled and frozen seman, whelp c-sections, etc. We are fortunate to have a reproduction specialist in our area and many of of members have taken advantage of the services offered.
The cost was only $30.00 per person which not only included the talk by Dr. Bosley, but included the fabulous buffet dinner offered by the casino. There were a total of 55 attending. While some of the people who attended felt that the club should have charged more for this quality seminar, the idea was not to make money, but to provide our local breeders (of all breeds) an educational talk and dinner without a high cost.
Dr. Bosley was generous enough to provide the seminar talk without cost to the club.
